Hello from Courtenay Rocconi!

What Makes Me, Me:  I am a coastal girl! I grew up in Mobile, AL with family time spent on Mobile Bay and the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. I met my husband in college at The University of Mississippi and we were married in 1994. I earned my Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology and worked in that field for many years. We lived in Birmingham, AL for 11 years while my husband attended medical school and then completed his OBGYN residency and GYN Oncology fellowship at The University of Alabama at Birmingham. When he completed his medical training, we moved back to Mobile, AL to raise our three children near family. My husband practiced medicine there for over 16 years before being hired to be the Cancer Center Director for the University of Mississippi. We currently reside in Jackson, MS.

I have a passion for helping others which is why I chose a career in healthcare. However, after many years of working outside the home, we made the decision for me to leave that career and be more available while raising our children. Once our children were grown, I started having the desire to go back to work, but felt the need to do something different. Our family has made some of our best memories together while traveling, so I decided I wanted to become a travel agent so I could help others make lifelong memories the way we have through travel experiences.

In My Spare Time:  I am happiest when I am spending time with my family. That usually looks like a day at the beach, boating, attending sporting events, a night out for dinner, or watching a movie. 

My Favorite Travel Hack: We always take the early flight because:
1) You have a better chance of your flight not being delayed or cancelled. 
2) Shorter security lines.
3) Less turbulence early in the morning. 
4) You arrive in your destination earlier which is always a plus!

My Favorite Season and Why: Summer! I think it is because I grew up on the coast and then we raised our kids on the coast. So much of what we have enjoyed the most as a family has involved being on the water in the summer months!  I will admit that Fall is great too because I am a big Ole Miss football fan!
