Hello from Ebony Aelterman!
What Makes Me, Me: When I think of Salt Life, I think of my childhood. I was born and raised in The Bahamas. As a little girl, I was always mesmerized watching the cruise ships come in, and seeing tourists enjoying the beaches. Everyone always seemed as if they were overflowing with joy. It was infectious.
I had the opportunity to complete my Master's Degree in London and worked two part-time jobs, in addition to studying full-time, so that I could travel as much as possible. The Eurostar made this really easy. I learned how to curate an itinerary, navigate the transportation, and add fun activities. I took this skill into adulthood, and my family and I are always exploring new destinations.
Today, I'm based in Nashville, and have managed to convert a love of travel into a career where I help other people find their joy on their perfect vacation.
In My Spare Time: I enjoy gardening immensely and have 12 raised beds for fruits and vegetables, multiple flower beds, three hydroponic units, and 21 million houseplants. I like to try my luck with tropicals indoors and out.
Me, in three words, as described by my friends: Loyal, supportive, and trustworthy.
If I had a Warning Label it would read: MAMA BEAR
The Season I’d Never Leave: Spring - everything is bursting with life! It's an actual and metaphysical renewal.
The Movie I know by heart: Hocus Pocus
My Favorite Travel Hack: Air tags in my travel purse, carry-on item, and checked bag. If it gets lost or stolen, I'm tracking it and hunting it down!
An Instant Pick-Me Up: Family movie night with comfort food.
