Hello from Lynda Hower!

What Makes Me, Me: I have been a Pittsburgh girl all my life! Growing up in Pittsburgh, I enjoy the change of seasons each year. My favorite time of the year is the fall. After graduating college with a degree in Resort Management, I thought I would head to Orlando to work at Disney World.  However, meeting my husband and wanting to stay close to home I changed career goals and headed down a different path.

My husband, Jon and I stayed in our hometown that we love to raise our family.  We have two wonderful children and one fur baby, which I love with all my heart.

I always loved to travel since I was a little girl and have taught my children to enjoy it as well.  Fifteen years ago I was presented with the opportunity to become a Travel Advisor and launched my business.  It has been a blessing for myself and my family.  I have been able to do what I love and help others experience the world, all while supporting my husband and children at home. 

In My Spare Time: I enjoy reading, going to the gym, spending time with my kids, taking a nap, and baking. Our family is big into Mini Golf.  We love to try new courses and make teams to compete against each other.  A relaxing day for me would be to read, enjoy happy hour with my family and then a good game of mini golf.

What I am Watching: I love a good rom-com, suspense thriller, or talk show.  For years I watched Oprah and Dr. Phil.  To this day, I still shout Philisms to my kids.  “No matter how flat you make a pancake, it still has two sides.” 

What’s in a Color: Blue is my favorite color.  The Bahamas is one of my favorite destinations.  I fell in love with the island when my dad took me on an impromptu trip after I graduated high school. The shades of blue that I saw for the first time from turquoise, to sapphire and emerald, were the most beautiful I had ever seen.  The different shades of blue in the waters fill my heart with joy and bring me peace.

If your pet could talk, what do you think they might say about you? “Where’s mommy, where’s mommy, where’s my mommy!”  I can’t be out of her sight. 

Instant Pick Me Up: Characters! It does not matter if I am at Disney World, NYC or in Pittsburgh.  I want to get my photo taken with any character I see, and I want my adult children to join me!  Grimace, Cookie Monster, Minions, or Goofy!

My Favorite Travel Hack: Baby Powder!  If you are at the beach and can’t get sand off the little ones, sprinkle some baby powder and it comes right off.
